As a 2020 Associate Development Program full-time participant with FIS, you will have the opportunity to participate in team projects, community service activities, professional development seminars and work with a team that is invested in your growth, development, and success; including quarterly performance connects with your manager and bi-annual merit reviews.

This two-year full-time program has start dates in January and June with a dedicated "Learning Week" where you will;

  • Learn how to work within a corporate environment
  • Learn the structure of FIS and options for growth within the organization
  • Hear from FIS leadership about their journey and participate in senior leader networking opportunities
  • Build a network of your peers from across the organization

About the team

The Outsourcing Tax Department provides tax preparation services to banks, trust companies and other wealth management companies. These tax services include preparation of tax information reporting, including forms 1099-Div, 1099-Int, 1099-B, 1099-OID, 1099-MISC, and 5498. These tax services also include preparation of fiduciary tax returns, including forms 1041, 5227, 990-PF and 990-T.

Members of the Outsourcing Tax Department have a working knowledge of all types of investments, including, but not limited to equities, fixed income, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, common trust funds, derivatives, foreign securities, master limited partnerships, publicly traded partnerships, and hedge funds.

Other processes performed by members of the Outsourcing Tax Department include wash loss processing, return of capital processing, and amortization/accretion model set up and review.

Systems utilized by Outsourcing Tax Department personnel include OneSource Trust Tax, Wall Street Concepts, TrustDesk, and Microsoft Office.

What you will be doing

  • Preparation of tax forms 1099-Div, 1099-Int, 1099-B, 1099-OID, 1099-MISC, 5498, 1041, 5227, 990-PF and 990-T
  • Execute cost basis processes, including wash loss deferral calculations and return of capital adjustment computations
  • Transactional reporting for Master Limited Partnerships
  • Perform backup and foreign withholding processes
  • Monitor and execute amortization and accretion modelling processes

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree from job discipline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Adaptability, a drive to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team

Added bonus if you have:

  • Tax preparation experience
  • Securities operations experience
  • Experience using OneSource Trust Tax or TrustDesk
